FAQ

Google Ads, Ad Grants and website questions, answered.

Straight answers to the questions I hear most from businesses, nonprofits and agencies.

Google Ads management

How much should I spend on Google Ads?

It depends on your industry, location and goals. The budget needs to be large enough to collect real data. I recommend a starting budget after reviewing your market and the value of a new customer.

How long until I see results?

Most accounts start producing useful data within the first few weeks. Steady improvement comes from continued testing over the following months.

Do you manage Microsoft Ads and Meta Ads too?

Yes. I manage Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta Ads campaigns, and I match each channel to your goals and budget.

Can you take over an account that someone else built?

Yes. I start with an audit of the account, keep what is working and fix what is not.

Do you work with agencies?

Yes. I provide white-label paid search support for agencies, working behind the scenes under your brand.

Google Ad Grants management

Which organizations qualify for Google Ad Grants?

Registered nonprofits in eligible countries can apply, including U.S. 501(c)(3) organizations. Governmental entities, hospitals and medical groups, and schools, academic institutions and universities are not eligible. Program rules can change, so I confirm current requirements before setup.

How much is the grant worth?

Eligible organizations can receive up to $10,000 a month in Google Ads credit. Actual spend depends on search demand and how the account is managed.

What happens if my account is not compliant?

Google can pause or deactivate accounts that miss program requirements, such as a minimum click-through rate. Ongoing monitoring is a core part of my service.

Does the grant pay for ads on other platforms?

The grant covers Google Search ads and Performance Max campaigns. It does not cover other platforms such as Microsoft Ads or Meta, so many nonprofits pair it with other outreach.

Have you managed Ad Grants accounts before?

Yes. I have managed Google Ad Grants accounts for nonprofits, including High Country News, and provided Ad Grants support for the River Road African American Museum.

WordPress website design and maintenance

Can you redesign my existing WordPress site?

Yes. I can keep your content and structure what works, then update the design, speed and calls to action.

Will my site be mobile friendly?

Yes. Every site I build is designed to work on phones, tablets and desktops.

Do you offer ongoing maintenance?

Yes. Maintenance covers updates, backups, security and content changes so you are not left managing it alone.

Have you built sites for churches and nonprofits?

Yes, including a church website designed to help members and first-time visitors find service information and ways to get involved.
